Wow, ok, so SA’s did not go as smooth as I really thought it would. I did not even make it to the start line!

We traveled to East London on the Wednesday morning by car with a great vibe and good motivation. We ate at the same restaurant for 2 nights running and everything seemed to be fine, until the 3 on the Friday morning….

My stomach have some how picked up a bug and kept me busy until 7 that morning! I was so weak and just went straight to bed. I slept until 4 in the afternoon and woke up with a huge head ache (due to the dehydration of my body).I kept on going to the toilet if I ate something, so I really lost a few kilograms not eating for the day.

To make a long story very short, I did not start the race on the Sunday and ended up helping my teammates with feeding along the road.

Our team did very well and I am happy, but for me it’s back to the drawing board for next seasons racing after a complete 2 week rest. The time I usually use to train, I will use now to so some bike setups and testing here in Cycle Lab Northgate (please follow link http://www.bikemaxpower.com/browse_products/14)
