I can ride my bike.. the whole day

What a cool weekend I must say! Feeling good, weather perfect and no work on the Saturday.
Saturday morning Peter and I got a nice group to ride in. I rode the whole Argus route and another loop consisting of Hout bay and Constantia neck. I ended the day with 180km on the clock and almost halve the day spent riding my bike. The Sunday was similar, but just a different route (to the Boland), and yet again, I had most of my team mates to ride with. I did the loop of Hout bay and Constantia neck again and ended the day on around 170km. I’d say I had quite a good weekend on and off the bike.
Now most of you must have heard of my Mountain bike trip with friends in the Karoo over the December holidays. It’s basically +- 110km a day and have a lot of climbing. The group will do 6 days, but I’m extending my days on the bike with another 4 days to travel back from Knysna to Cape Town, unassisted. I firmly believe that riding your bike is the only way to see South Africa or in fact any place in the world.
Racing this weekend:
We have the Coronation Double Century on Saturday. The area of Swellendam had a lot of rain over the past week and they‘re busy working on an alternative route. (most of the roads have been washed away!) I’m really looking forward to the ride/race, I like distance!
Today's daily distraction is:
Uwe and Robbie winning the Tandem section in the 94.7 race for Team BikeMaxPower! Well done Boys!
