Mauritius National MTB champs

Sorry for the late review of the Championships. The Mauritian national MTB championships were held on the 13^th of December. BikeMaxPower had 2 riders present in different age categories, Armand Le Court and Olivier le Court. Olivier did an awesome job to secure his national title early on in the race when he just rode off! Olivier is now the holder of 2 National titles (road and MTB) in Mauritius! Armand (my team mate in the Mauritian National Tour) was not so fortunate although he had probable the best form ever. Armand’s gears started slipping over the tough terrain and eventually the derailleur took out some of the spokes in the back wheel. It was a sad finish the season for Armand, but he will be back stronger and more determent in 2010 he said.

Olivier’s younger sister Kim also took the honors in the ladies category (u/14)! Well done!

On a totally different topic:

I don’t know if you guys remembered the “experiment or just plain stupidity” blog that I’ve done in November 2008.. (http://www.bikemaxpower.com/blog/Michael_Van+Staden/436) Joe Friel actually did a blog recently about the procedure of changing your cleats from the ball of the foot to the mid arch position..
