Miserable L4 and Operation MAP hits a hurdle..

Ok - so today was the end of week 2 of Operation MAP, the codename for a project I have with a few firends and myself to get into some sort of Summer shape with some high intensity training. Essentially L5 on Tuesday and L4 on Thursday -working them as hard as we can. This is a reallynice comination for the time challenged athlete and yields solid results if followed dilligently..
Which is where we stalled a little - both my fellow participants belw me out last night for various reasons, leaving me to face the prospect alone on a windy windy morning with sore legs and after a late night (Goo and see the "Three Wise Men" at the Baxter if you want to do some laughing..)
Thankfully Nick decided to brave the wind all the way from Table View and came across to join me and Eddie up the Nek and then the Glen.
It wasn't great for me - 261w average for both and I felt pretty blown - but pleased to have it done. I often find that the 2nd and 3rd week of this sort of programme can be a little disheartening as you have built a good level of fatigue but are not yet seeing any fitness benefits - hence lower numbers..
Easy recovery tomorrow and then a decent longer ride on Saturday to bring me up to ~550 TSS for the week.
P.S After making Shane feel terrible for missing his session he went out at 5pm and nailed some serious L4 power - attaboy ;-)
