So there it is, I have said it - I am going to do the IM in 2011...

For those of you that don't know, I completed Lanzarote IM in 1993...a huge achievement for me with one of my best friends - who despite fighting me all the way, crossed the line with me after 13h+

Having enjoyed being back in the water of late, I decided that a new challenge was on the cards - and IM just hoved into view..

I am unsure on many levels - will my back hold up to the strain being the biggest fear, will I compromise my family and my focus on makig a good living.. but I  feel I can do it and achieve the balance. I want it, the challenge, the hurt, the focus, the commitment...

So far, swimming is going well with times coming down and endurance improving, riding is slow but I know I can meet that challenge, and lastly the dreaded run..started well but ended last week with a calf strain....got to take that one slowly..

I'll get there - my best mates have comitted to it too, and we might just cross that line together again..
