I am very happy ot be finally back on the bike after a 3 week break - this time, just as I was gettting back into the ryhthm I was taken out by a monster dose of flu. I can honestly say I cannot remember feeling this rough for 20 years..So I ventured out with Nick (nearly as unfit due to a new job) on Saturday and we had a really good ride. Well, after Michaels post about my position the other day we played around with my cleat position today and tried to get my right leg to track straight - not much progress to speak of but I ended up moving my cleats a few mm forward so will see how that feels on the road..(That is if I get back there with this weather)We had planned a road ride this morning but I got an SMS from Michael at 6.30am saying he was hiding under a tree in Fishhoek in the pitch black waiting for the rain to ease up..It ...

Well, 4.5 weeks after herniating my disc I am finally back to riding on the road. It has and continues to be very challenging, as my nerve is still recovering and my right foot still a little numb but I am much much better and chuffed to be riding.I have managed 4 hours last week (2 x 1 hour indoor and a 2 hour road ride) and 5 hours this week with a 3 hour road ride.CTL is right down at 33 and FTP down from 290w to about 250w but I plan to put that to rights in the next few months and hit Sprin ...
